When can DNA Test be allowed by the Court?

Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 – Section 482 and 53 – pre-requisites for allowing DNA Test – not as a matter of course – allegations of obtaining false caste certificate by changing name and parentage – investigation not yet completed and material evidences yet to be collected – request by police for collection of DNA test – such action is nothing but step towards roving and fishing enquiry on a person – cannot be lightly allowed to be resorted to – appropriate satisfaction necessary for requirement of such test.
